I spent the first 16 years of my life living about a block away from this park, on the edge of Lake Minnetonka, in a small town/upper-middle class suburb named “Excelsior,” about 25 minutes west of Minneapolis.
I don’t remember a single December without at least a few inches of snow until 1998, when I came back from college for the first time to gray trees and bare, dead grass. These days, we’re lucky if we get a few good snowstorms per year, and the accumulation, as often as not, melts within days.
Happy new year, friends. Video haiku was an important part of my 2006, and I’m very happy to have recorded the year, and to have shared it with you.
